The Story

Being at the business end of a whale isn't something to take lightly. Humpbacks as a general rule are very gentle and very much aware of us in the water with us. They'll be very careful to avoid hitting us or hurting us...but with the tail, sometimes things can get a bit spicy. Thankfully this particular whale was very mellow and was happy to slowly roll around on the surface with me back there snapping away. Every swim and every image captured from it has its own story, a distinct moment in time that is burned into memory forever.
