Here on Maui, we get maybe one or two ridiculous sunsets a month. I suppose the trick is timing it right! I had visited Kapalua Bay a dozen times and always got skunked. On this particular day I witnessed an amazing sunrise on the way to a show I was doing in Ka'anapali, so I hustled up at the end of the day to Kapalua. As the sunset started to light up, I saw the moon setting and working its way into my frame...and knew I had the shot I'd been waiting for!
