If I'm being completely honest, I didn't really see this coming. I always tell my guests to watch the tail closely when you find yourself at the back of a whale, but I neglected to take my own advice and was fiddling with my housing when I felt water splashing on my head. Luckily my finger was still on the trigger, so I had focus and the camera was firing away before I really comprehended what was happening. All you can hear in the video I took at the same time is me cackling in disbelief through my snorkel. What a moment!
