A Mothers Love
A Mothers Love

Humpback mothers only spend approximately a year with their child before separating forever. They make the most of their time and while they are in the warm waters of Tonga they are always very close. Constantly snuggling and cuddling and teaching, they are never far apart. Most of the time, they are touching or mere feet from one another. Watching them is a beautiful and poignant reminder of the blessing of children and the uncertainties of our time together on this earth. They grow up quickly and are sometimes taken from us far too soon.
Here, an escort lurks nearby below and I often wonder if mom resents their presence, taking away from this fleeting bonding time.
